The world’s 50 largest banks collectively hold approximately $101.6 trillion in assets, underscoring their enormous influence on the global economy. Many of these institutions manage trillions of dollars and play a critical role in international finance, lending, and economic stability. China is home to four of the world’s largest banks. The largest among them, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), holds more than $7 trillion in assets, making it the largest bank in the world by total assets.
