The Power Of Momentum

Momentum can get you going again after a setback.

Procrastinating is often packaged as a means to lower stress as we make time for the more enjoyable activities in life but the result is rarely this. In fact, procrastination often does the opposite and builds stress which can lower work quality. Creating a positive momentum through tasks can, on the other hand, propel work and lower stress levels. A few of the ways to develop momentum is to live in the moment with tasks. Being aware that everything that happens after this moment is a result of what steps were taken now is a good reminder that the future relies on the present. Also, learn to be proactive. Tasks can often be made up to seem more difficult in our minds especially the longer we put them off but taking care of things in the present moment prevents them from piling up or becoming bigger issues.
