You may have heard that both Microsoft (MSFT) and Meta (META) are laying off many thousands of people each. Here was the headline in our little town paper:
The interesting thing is that the “regular” Meta folks (who make, say, two or three hundred thousand a year) are being sacrificed to fund the handful of super-elite folks who are being paid, I kid you now, hundreds of millions of dollars.
Think that’ll start to make some resentment bubble around this valley? I sure do. And when the day comes when I share THE TALE, you’ll know that I know what I’m talking about!
I have puts on META, by the way, and they report earnings in the coming week.
