
Wall Street analysts are often wrong in their buy, hold, and sell ratings. Currently, technology is the most favorably rated sector, followed by communication services and materials. Approximately 69% of analyst ratings on S&P 500 technology companies are buys, while only 4% are sells. In contrast, analysts appear less confident about consumer staples and utilities, where ratings are more balanced and uncertainty is greater.
