The Future Of WiFi6

In 2017, the average American household has five connected devices. By 2020, that number is predicted to soar to 20 billion devices worldwide. As staples in our daily lives, it’s hard to imagine a world without this kind of technology – but even before these inventions, the theoretical gears were turning.

The technology that powers our smartphones, our internet connections, and wireless communication is anything but new. Nikola Tesla was among the first forward-thinkers to suggest the possibility and the convenience of digital, instant communications even going so far to describe it as being small enough “a man will be able to carry in his vest pocket.” Tesla couldn’t see the future, but he was smart enough to envision the course of our technological history, eerily predicting how communication would evolve. By the 1990s, some 70 years following Tesla’s prime, the modern and accessible Internet as we know it today was born and the rest is history.
