Tax Preparation As A Recession-Proof Career

Choosing a job isn't always easy.

When you chose your career, what steps did you take to get there? You probably started out choosing a college, then taking some general education courses to see what interests you, and then you chose your career path from there. Unfortunately for many of us, we aren’t working in our chosen career fields because we didn’t consider what the market would bear, or we graduated into tough economic times and everyone was having trouble getting on the right track right out of school. Fortunately there are career paths that continue to do well in tough economic times. Medical fields continue to do well no matter what the economy does, as do financial services jobs. Nothing in life is certain except death and taxes, though, so funeral services and tax services should be on equal footing, right? Unfortunately not so much - even funeral services, which are needed no matter the economic climate, respond to tough economic times. Tax preparation is a career track that is needed and utilized no matter what is happening in the broader economy. No matter what, tax preparers are always needed. And best of all? You don’t even need an accounting degree to get started, just a few classes and a certification. Learn more about tax preparation as a career below!
