The Dow surged 423 points on Friday, as strength in tech and healthcare stocks helped Wall Street rebound from yesterday's selloff. The blue-chip index has now nabbed six wins in the last seven trading sessions. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq finished comfortably higher today as well, with all three major indexes notching weekly wins --a fourth straight for the Nasdaq.

Stocks gained momentum after President Donald Trump announced that Russia had agreed to supply diesel to the U.S. and global markets, sending oil prices slightly lower. Heading into earnings season, the Cboe Volatility Index (VIX) closed below 15 for the first time since Sept. 22.
