Stocks managed to rally higher today, with risk perception as measured by the VIX falling.
The US Dollar drifted sideways, finishing unchanged.
Gold was slightly lower, with silver a bit higher.
The markets will probably mark time ahead of any event, or the Non-Farm Payrolls report on Friday if it offers anything new or surprising.
A resurgence of Covid is happening around the world, with the D variant mutation of the virus becoming a dominant strain.
Even if there is a defiant and dismissive mood, there is no harm in making some preparations.
