Western Midstream Partners LP was founded 2007 and is headquartered in The Woodlands, TX.

The company owns, operates, acquires, and develops midstream energy assets including natural gas, condensate, natural gas liquids, and crude oil for Anadarko, as well as third-party producers and customers.

Three key data points gauge WES (or any dividend paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

WES Price

Western Midstream’s single share price rose $7.41 or near 20% in the past year, from $37.34 to $44.75 per Wednesday’s opening market report.

Fifteen analysts cover the stock. The median of their one year target estimates showed a $5.05 or 11.3% price gain ahead.

However WES’s past five years price progression from $23.27 to $44.75 shows an average annual gain of about $4.30 as a prediction for the coming year’s returns. I’ll use that number to calculate returns after I discuss WES dividends.

WES Dividends

Western Midstream Partners has paid variable Quarterly dividends since February, 2013.

The most recent Q dividend of $0.93 was paid August 14th, 2026 (to shareholders of record July 21st) yielding $3.72 or 8.30% annually (perThursday’s opening market report.)

WES Returns

Putting it all together, as of October 15th, a possible Western Midstream Partners gross gain of $8.02 was projected.

To get there, our $4.30 per share calculated annual price gain was added to the $3.72 presumed forward looking annual dividend to make that $8.02 gross gain.

A little over $1000 invested in WES at Thursday’s $44.75 opening share price would buy 22.34 shares which multiply the hypothetical $8.02 gross gain to $179.22 for the coming year, or about 17.9%.

By the way, my dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

Western Midstream Partners’ projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $83.00 and that annual dividend proves to be over 1.85 times its recent $44.75 recent single-share price.

The exact track of WES’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
