This company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, China.

Vipshop Holdings Ltd. provides online product sales and distribution services.

Three key data points gauge VIPS (or any dividend paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

VIPS Price

Vipshop’s single share price dropped $6.08 or over 33% in the past year, from $18.35 to $12.27 per Wednesday’s opening market report.

Twenty-one analysts cover the stock and the median of their one-year target estimates set a target gain at $4.67 or just over 38%. However, the average of Vipshop’s past four year price progression from $6.04 to $14.96 shows an average annual gain of about $2.23, which I’ll use as a prediction for the coming year’s returns which will include annual dividends, too.

VIPS Dividends

Vipshop has paid variable Annual dividends since April, 2024. The most recent A dividend of $0.62 was paid April 24th, 2026 (to shareholders of record April 10th) yielding 5.13% (per Wednesday’s opening market report.)

VIPS Returns

Putting it all together, as of September 16th, a possible Vipshop Holdings gross gain of $2.85 was projected.

To get there, our $2.23 per share annual price gain was added to the $0.62 presumed forward looking annual dividend to make that $2.85 gross gain.

A little over $1000 invested in VIPS at Wednesday’s $12.27 Opening share price would buy 81.5 shares which multiply the hypothetical $2.85 gross gain to $183.37 for the coming year, or 18.34%.

My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

Vipshop Holding’s projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $51.30 and that annual dividend proves to be over 4 times more than its recent $12.27 single-share price.

The exact track of Vipshop Holdings Ltd’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
