Takeda Pharmaceuticals could deliver a 16.24% gross gain next year through a mix of price appreciation and a 3.28% dividend yield.

This company was founded in 1781 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd researches and develops, manufactures, sells, and markets pharmaceutical drugs.

Three key data points gauge TAK (or any dividend paying entity):

(1) Price

(2) Dividends

(3) Returns

Those three keys also indicate if any company has made, is making, and will make money.

TAK Price

Takeda’s single share price increased $1.25 or over 11% in the past year, from $15.06 to $18.72 per Wednesday’s opening market report.

Three analysts cover the stock and the median of their one year price targets showed a $3.36 price gain.

However Takeda’s past four year price progression from $12.80 to $18.72 shows an average annual gain of about $1.48 as a prediction for the coming year’s returns which averaged with the analyst guesses becomes a $2.42 averaged gain per year.

TAK Dividends

Takeda Pharmaceuticals has paid variable semi-annual dividends since December, 2010 but skipped one payment in 2019.

The most recent SA dividend of $0.31 was paid July 6th, 2026 (to shareholders of record March 31st yielding  3.28% (per Thursday’s opening market report.)

TAK Returns

Putting it all together, as of September 24th, a possible Takeda gross gain of $3.04 was projected.

To get there, our $2.42 per share averaged annual price gain was added to the $0.62 presumed forward looking annual dividend to make that $3.04 gross gain.

A little over $1000 invested in TAK at Thursday’s $18.72 opening share price would buy 53.4 shares which multiply the hypothetical $3.04 gross gain to $162.39 for the coming year, or 16.24%.

My dividend dogcatcher rule is to only buy initial shares of a dividend stock that pay an annual dividend (from $1000 invested) that is greater than the cost of one share.

Takeda’s projected annual dividend from $1K invested is $32.80 and that annual dividend proves to be over 1.75 times more than its recent $18.72 single-share price.

The exact track of Takeda’s future share price and dividend will entirely be determined by market action and company finances.

Remember the best way to track stock performance and dividend payments is through direct ownership of company shares.
