The S&P 500 opened lower and sold off in a couple of waves to its -0.79% intraday low early in the final 30 minutes of trading prior to its -0.72% close. The absence of a Santa rally leaves us with a final bit of suspense for 2015. With one day of trading left, the index has a microscopic year-to-date gain of 0.22%. Will it close out the year with a gain? Stay tuned!.
The yield on the 10-year note closed at 2.31%, down 1 bp from yesterday's close.
