Stocks were a mixed bunch heading into the weekend, a fitting end to a roller-coaster week. The Dow finished lower, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both rose, with tech stocks stabilizing from yesterday's rout as investors bought the dip. Despite the gains today, all three major indexes finished with weekly losses, the Nasdaq's third-straight. The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) also suffered its worst weekly performance since April 2025. Meanwhile, investors weighed October’s nonfarm payrolls report, which came in ahead of expectations.
