Silver (XAG/USD) price downtrend extended on Friday, losing over 1% after hitting a new yearly low of $53.03, paving the way for sellers to challenge the $50.00 level in the foreseeable future. At the time of writing, XAG/USD trades near $54.00.

XAG/USD Price Forecast: Technical Outlook

The downtrend is poised to extend after Silver hit a new yearly low, opening the door to further downside. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is bearish and about to become oversold, indicating that sellers are gaining strength as XAG/USD edges lower.

The first support is $53.50. A breach of the latter will expose the YTD low of $53.05, followed by $50.00. The next area of interest is the November 21, 2025, swing low at $48.64, before the precious metal challenges the October 28, 2025, swing low at $45.56.

For a bullish reversal, Silver must rise above $55.00. Once it clears that level, the next stop is the October 22 high of $58.02, followed by the $60.00 milestone.
