At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 414 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 123 points lower.
TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys are among the top gainers today.
Tata Steel, Bharat Elec, and Maruti Suzuki, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.5% lower, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.6% lower.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the auto sector and the realty sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the real estate sector and the power sector witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 96.9 against the US dollar.
Hindalco Industries Subsidiary's Q4 Results
Novelis Inc, the wholly owned subsidiary of Hindalco Industries, reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 7.0 billion (bn) (US$84 million) for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, primarily due to fire incidents at its Oswego plant in New York, US.
In the same quarter last year, the company reported a net profit of Rs 24.5 bn (US$294 million).
Novelis stated that the decline was mainly due to pre-tax net losses of around Rs 52.5 bn (US$630 million) linked to the Oswego plant fires that occurred in September and November.
Despite the loss, consolidated net sales increased to Rs 398.9 bn (US$4,787 million) compared to Rs 382.3 bn (US$4,587 million) in the year-ago period.
Novelis is the wholly owned subsidiary of Hindalco Industries and is one of the world's leading aluminium rolling and recycling companies.
Mankind Pharma Q4 FY26 Results
Shares of Mankind Pharma came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.
Mankind Pharma reported strong quarterly earnings for Q4 FY26.
Net profit rose 31.8% YoY to Rs 5.5 bn in the March 2026 quarter, compared to Rs 4.2 bn in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations increased 11.8% YoY to Rs 34.4 bn versus Rs 30.8 bn in Q4 FY25.
For the full year FY26, revenue grew 17.0% YoY to Rs 142.8 bn compared to Rs 122.1 bn in FY25.
However, annual net profit declined 3.9% YoY to Rs 19.1 bn from Rs 19.9 bn in the previous financial year.
Bharat Electronics Q4 FY26 Results
Shares of Bharat Electronics came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.
Bharat Electronics (BEL) reported a steady performance for Q4 FY26.
Consolidated net profit rose 4.6% YoY to Rs 22.3 bn in the March 2026 quarter, compared to Rs 21.3 bn in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations increased 11.7% YoY to Rs 102.2 bn versus Rs 91.5 bn in Q4 FY25.
Total expenses rose 14.5% YoY to Rs 74.2 bn during the quarter, mainly driven by higher material and employee costs.
Cost of materials consumed increased by 8.2% YoY to Rs 47.9 bn, while employee benefit expenses rose 8.5% YoY to Rs 8.3 bn.
BEL's order book stood at Rs 738.8 bn as of 1 April 2026, providing strong long-term revenue visibility.
