Sensex Today Trades Lower; Tata Steel & Infosys Top Losers

Asia-Pacific markets traded lower on Monday, led by South Korean equities, after U.S. forces struck two Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island on Sunday.

US stock futures declined on Sunday night, with Dow Jones Industrial Average futures falling 85 points, or 0.16%. S&P 500 futures slipped 0.2%, while Nasdaq-100 futures also traded lower.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 286 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 109 points lower.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Bharti Airtel are among the top gainers today.

Infosys, Tata Steel, NTPC, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.6% lower, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.8% lower.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.4 against the US dollar.

Axiscades Accelerates Aerospace Manufacturing Through Acquisition

Axiscades Technologies has approved the acquisition of a majority stake in Bengaluru-based Cloud Wave Technologies for an enterprise valuation of around Rs 2.6 billion (bn) subject to final adjustments.

Cloud Wave, founded in 2014, is an AS9100D-certified precision engineering and manufacturing company with seven manufacturing units. It offers machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, plastic injection moulding, 3D printing and surface treatment services.

The company serves customers in the Aerospace & Defence and Semiconductor industries in India and overseas. Cloud Wave is expected to generate around Rs 1.8 bn in revenue with a 22% EBITDA margin in FY27.

The acquisition will help AXISCADES quickly expand its aerospace manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its presence with global customers. It is part of the company's Power 930 growth plan.

Axiscades is also developing a 240,000 sq ft Centre for Advanced Manufacturing at Devanahalli Aerospace Park, Bengaluru, which will help consolidate and scale its manufacturing operations to serve global OEMs.


Avantel Wins Major DRDO Defence Order

Avantel has received a Rs 1.17 bn order from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

The order involves the development of a Ground Segment Hub for defence applications. The project is domestic in nature and is expected to be completed by February 2029.

The contract includes a 36-month warranty period and has a total value of Rs 1.17 bn, including taxes.

Avantel Limited is engaged in the business of designing, developing and maintaining wireless and satellite communication products, defence electronics, radar systems and development of network management software applications for its customers majorly from the aerospace and defence sectors.
