Sensex Today Trades Lower; Tata Steel & Bajaj Finance Top Losers

Asia-Pacific markets began Wednesday on a weak note, with South Korea's markets witnessing the sharpest declines.

US stock futures were largely unchanged on Tuesday night after the major indices recorded their third consecutive session of losses, as a global bond sell-off and rising oil prices continued to dampen investor sentiment.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 137 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 60 points lower.

HCL Tech, Infosys, and Eternal are among the top gainers today.

Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, Bharat Elec, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.3% lower, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.4% lower.

Baring IT sector and the oil & gas sector, all other sectoral indices are trading negative today, with stocks in the metal sector and the power sector witnessing selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.7 against the US dollar.

Krystal Secures Major Integrated Facility Management Order

Krystal Integrated Services Limited has been awarded Work Order by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, a domestic entity, for providing Integrated Facility Management Services in the allocated regions of Mumbai and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.

The contract is for a period of 3 (Three) years and has been awarded in the ordinary course of business. The order is domestic in nature and pertains to Integrated Facility Management Services.

The services are to be executed over a period of 3 (Three) years, as specified in the Work Order.

The approximate contract value is Rs 1.34 billion (bn) including all applicable taxes.

Exide Steps Up Investment In EESL

Exide Industries has invested Rs 2 billion in its wholly owned subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions (EESL), through a rights issue.

Following this investment, the company's total investment in EESL stands at Rs 51.02 billion.

There is no change in Exide Industries' shareholding percentage in EESL following the acquisition of the shares.

The investment is part of the additional funding of up to Rs 14 billion approved by the Board of Exide Industries for setting up a greenfield facility.

Atlanta Electricals Bags Transformer Supply Contract

Atlanta Electricals has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APTRANSCO) for the design, manufacture, testing and supply of 12 units of 160 MVA, 220/132 kV auto transformers.

The order also includes unloading of the transformers in accordance with the technical specifications and commercial terms stipulated under the tender.

The total contract value stands at Rs 1.93 billion, including GST.

The order strengthens Atlanta Electricals' presence in the power transmission segment and highlights its capability to manufacture and supply high-capacity transformers for critical transmission infrastructure.
