Asian markets traded higher on Wednesday, August 12, as investors took comfort from softer-than-expected US inflation data, which helped ease concerns over potential interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.
Wall Street's benchmark indices closed mixed on Wednesday, August 12, as investors showed little enthusiasm despite July's inflation data coming in largely in line with expectations.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 208 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 89 points lower.
Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharma, NTPC among the top gainers today.
Infosys, Titan Company, and ICICI Bank, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.3% higher.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the metal sector and oil & gas sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the auto sector and telecommunication sector witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 95.3 against the US dollar.
Lenskart Solutions Q1FY27 Performance
Lenskart Solutions reported a 182.3% YoY increase in PAT to Rs 2.28 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 0.61 bn in Q1 FY26.
Revenue from operations rose 33.6% YoY to Rs 27.14 bn, from Rs 18.94 bn a year earlier, while EBITDA increased 61.3% YoY to Rs 5.89 bn.
Growth remained broad-based, with India revenue rising 30.7% YoY and international revenue increasing 38% YoY.
Consolidated product margin crossed 70% for the first time, reaching 70.3% in Q1 FY27, versus 68.7% in Q1 FY26. India's product margin improved to 64.2% from 63.4%, while international product margin rose to 77.1% from 75.9%.
On a pre-IndAS 116 basis, EBITDA margin expanded to 13.3% from 9.1% YoY. Overall EBITDA margin increased to 21.7% from 18.0%, with India at 21.4% and international operations at 21.9%.
PAT margin expanded by 443 bps YoY to 8.4%, compared with 4.0% in Q1 FY26. For FY26, PAT stood at approximately Rs 5.30 bn.
Sun TV Network Q1FY27 Performance
Sun TV Network reported a 16.96% YoY increase in net profit to Rs 6.19 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 5.29 bn in Q1 FY26.
Revenue from operations increased 12.99% YoY to Rs 14.58 bn during the quarter, compared with Rs 12.90 bn in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Sun TV Network was established in 1985 as Sumangali Publications Private Limited and was later renamed as Sun TV Network Limited.
Sun TV, the flagship channel of the company, was started in 1993. STNL is primarily involved in television broadcasting. Besides, it produces/distributes movies under the banner Sun Pictures.

IRCTC Q1FY27 Performance
IRCTC reported a marginal 0.2% YoY decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 3.30 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 3.31 bn in Q1 FY26. On a sequential basis, net profit increased 1.2% from Rs 3.26 bn in Q4 FY26.
Revenue from operations rose 18.1% YoY to Rs 13.70 bn, compared with Rs 11.60 bn in the year-ago quarter, but declined 6.2% QoQ from Rs 14.60 bn.
Catering revenue grew 33.9% YoY to Rs 7.32 bn from Rs 5.47 bn, while Rail Neer revenue remained broadly flat at Rs 1.14 bn. Internet ticketing revenue increased 0.6% YoY to Rs 3.61 bn, while tourism revenue rose 13.8% YoY to Rs 1.68 bn.
At the operating level, EBITDA stood at approximately Rs 3.86 bn, compared with Rs 3.94 bn in Q1 FY26. EBITDA margin moderated to 28.18% from around 34% a year earlier.
