US stock market ended higher on Friday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closing at record highs, on optimism for possible US-Iran peace talks.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.9% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.8% higher.

The rupee is trading at Rs 94.2 against the US dollar.

Axis Bank Q4 Results

Shares of Axis Bank are in focus today after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

Axis Bank reported a net profit of Rs 70.7 billion (bn) for the quarter. Its core income, measured by net interest income, grew 5% year-on-year to Rs 144.6 bn, while the net interest margin stood at 3.62%.

The bank's asset quality improved sequentially, with gross NPAs declining to 1.23% from 1.40% and net NPAs easing to 0.37% from 0.42%. Credit cost also reduced to 0.37%, and the provision coverage ratio remained healthy at 70%.

Loan growth was strong, with advances rising 19% year-on-year and 6% sequentially to Rs 12,340 bn, driven by corporate and SME segments. Deposits increased 14% year-on-year, with the CASA ratio at 40%.

The board has recommended a dividend of Re 1 per equity share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval.

IDFC First Bank Q4 Results

Shares of IDFC First Bank came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

IDFC First Bank reported a modest 5% increase in net profit to Rs 3.2 bn for the quarter ended March 2026, compared to Rs 3.0 bn in the same period last year.

The bank's total income rose to Rs 121.8 bn from Rs 113.1 bn a year ago. Its interest income, which forms the bulk of earnings, grew to Rs 105.5 bn from Rs 94.1 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.

Asset quality saw slight improvement, with the gross NPA ratio declining to 1.61% from 1.87% a year ago. Net NPAs also reduced to 0.48% from 0.53% in the same period.

L&T Finance Q4 Results

Shares of L&T Finance came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

L&T Finance reported a strong performance for Q4 FY26, with consolidated net profit rising 26.8% year-on-year to Rs 8.1 bn, supported by an 18.5% increase in total income to Rs 47.7 bn. Profit before tax grew even faster, up 33.3% YoY to Rs 10.7 bn.

The company saw robust growth in lending activity, with retail disbursements jumping 62% YoY to Rs 241.1 bn, indicating strong demand across segments.

Personal loans nearly doubled, increasing 98% to Rs 37.9 bn, helped by partnerships with large technology platforms. Rural business finance also performed well, growing 41% to Rs 72.1 bn.

The overall loan book expanded steadily, with the retail loan book growing 26% YoY to Rs 1,195.1 bn, and the total consolidated loan book rising 25% to Rs 1,217.3 bn.

The company has proposed a final dividend of Rs 2.75 per equity share (face value Rs 10) for FY26, subject to approval by shareholders at the AGM.
