At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 149 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 52 points higher.

HCL Tech, Infosys, and TCS are among the top gainers today.

Trent, Bajaj Finance, and Asian Paints, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE Midcap index is trading 3.1% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 3.8% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks inthe realty sector and the services sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the meta sector and IT sector witnessed buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 90 against the US dollar.

HUL Boosts Premium Manufacturing Capacity

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced that it plans to invest up to Rs 20 billion (bn) over the next two years to increase its manufacturing capacity. The expansion will focus on fast-growing premium categories such as Beauty & Wellbeing and Home Care liquids, including premium skincare, hair care, and personal care products.

The investment will take place across multiple locations and supports the company's strategy of concentrating on bigger, high-growth opportunities. By using advanced automation and digital technology, HUL aims to make its supply chain more efficient and flexible, allowing it to respond faster to changing customer needs.

The new facilities will also align with HUL's sustainability goals and are planned to operate using 100% renewable energy.

Lineage Power Expands Global Supply Reach

Pace Digitek Limited has announced that its material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited, has secured an international purchase order from Yaqin Chem.

The order is valued at USD 1,346,210, which is approximately Rs 0.11 bn.

Under this contract, Lineage Power will supply four Mobile Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) mounted on gooseneck trailers.

Out of these, two units will have a capacity of 200 KW-1200 KWH battery systems and the remaining two units will have a capacity of 200 KW-2500 KWH battery systems.

The contract has been awarded by an international entity, and the company is required to complete the delivery of the systems by April 2026.

Cochin Shipyard Signs Major LNG Agreement

State-run Cochin Shipyard Limited announced on Wednesday, February 18, that it has signed a formal contract with France-based CMA CGM worth approximately $360 million, which is around Rs 32.7 bn. The contract is for the construction of six LNG-fuelled feeder container vessels, each with a capacity of 1,700 TEU (20-foot container equivalent).

With this new order, Cochin Shipyard's total order book has now reached about Rs 230 bn. Each LNG-powered containership in this deal is valued at around $60 million (approximately Rs 5.45 bn). This win further strengthens CSL's position in building eco-friendly, LNG-powered vessels.
