At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 494 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 148 points higher.
Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and TCS are among the top gainers today.
SBI, Bajaj Finance, and Asian Paints Bon the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE Midcap index is trading 0.4% higher, and the BSE Smallcap index is trading 2.1% lower.
Baring capital goods sector and the hospitals sector, all other sectoral indices are trading positively today, with the metal sector and the IT sector witnessing buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 90 against the US dollar.
HG Infra Bags Major Odisha Highway Contract
HG Infra Engineering Ltd said on February 24 that it has become the lowest (L1) bidder for a major road project from the National Highways Authority of India.
The project is for building a six-lane, access-controlled Capital Region Ring Road (Package III) in Odisha under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
The stretch will run from Gobindpur (NH-55) to Tangi near Bandola Toll Plaza (NH-16), covering about 40.33 km.
HG Infra's bid for the project is Rs 15.82 billion (bn), excluding GST. The company has 910 days (around 2.5 years) to complete the construction.
The contract has been awarded by an Indian government body and is entirely domestic in nature.
RVNL Bags EPC Order from Central Railway
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd has received a domestic contract from Central Railway.
The project involves designing, supplying, installing, testing and commissioning a 220/132/55 KV traction substation along with sectioning posts (SPs) and sub-sectioning posts (SSPs).
The work will be carried out on the Daund-Solapur section to support a 2x25 KV traction system and help meet a 3000 MT freight loading target. The project will be executed under EPC mode (Engineering, Procurement and Construction).
The total contract value is Rs 2.70 bn, including applicable taxes. The project is to be completed within 24 months.

Novelis Signs Agreement with AV Minerals
Hindalco Industries Ltd, the metals arm of the Aditya Birla Group, announced on 24 February 2026 that its wholly owned subsidiary, Novelis Inc, has entered into a subscription agreement with AV Minerals (Netherlands) N.V.
Under the agreement, AV Minerals, the sole shareholder of Novelis and a fully owned subsidiary of Hindalco, will purchase 13,33,333 common shares of Novelis at $150 per share, totaling approximately $200 million. The shares have no par value.
Novelis has also filed a Form 8-K with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with this transaction.
