
Asian markets traded lower on Friday amid cautiousness over the US-Iran war.
US stock market ended higher on Thursday, with the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 touching intraday record highs, on optimism that the US-Iran war could end soon.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 156 points higher and NSE Nifty is trading 28 points higher.
Maruti Suzuki, HUL, ITC among the top gainers today.
Tata Steel, HCL Tech, TCS on the other hand are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.8% higher.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today with stocks in services power and auto witnessed buying. Meanwhile, stocks in metal sector and IT sector witnessed selling pressure.
The rupee is trading at Rs 92.2 against the US dollar.
Wipro Hydraulics Acquires Indeco Italy Stake
Wipro Hydraulics, a division of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Italy-based Indeco Ind SpA.
The acquisition is expected to help the company expand beyond its existing hydraulic cylinder business and enter the hydraulic attachments segment.
Indeco manufactures a range of products including hydraulic hammers, mulching heads, and shears, primarily used in construction, demolition, and recycling applications.
According to Sitaram Ganeshan, President of Wipro Hydraulics, the acquisition will enhance the company's value proposition by broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its manufacturing and distribution capabilities. He noted that both companies have a legacy of over 50 years, with a strong focus on innovation, quality, reliability, and customer service.
Wipro Hydraulics currently specializes in the design and manufacture of custom-built hydraulic cylinders, serving industries such as construction, material handling, agriculture, forestry, mining, and transportation.
HDFC Life Insurance Q4 Results
Shares of HDFC Life Insurance are in focus today after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.
HDFC Life Insurance Company reported a 4% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 4.96 billion (bn) for the March quarter (Q4 FY26), compared to Rs 4.77 bn in the same period last year.
In terms of business growth, the company's annualized premium equivalent (APE) rose 8% year-on-year, with a healthy two-year CAGR of 12%.
For the full year FY26, the value of new business (VNB) stood at Rs 40.34 bn, with margins of 24.2%.
The company also saw strong momentum in its protection segment, with retail protection growing 46% during the quarter and 43% for the full year.
HDFC Life's total assets under management, including its pension subsidiary, stood at approximately Rs 5,300 bn.
The company has recommended a final dividend of Rs 2.10 per share (face value Rs 10), subject to shareholder approval at the AGM. The record date is 19 June 2026, and the dividend will be paid on or after 20 July 2026.
Alok Industries Q4 FY26 Results
Alok Industries reported a net loss of Rs 1.93 bn for the quarter ending March 2026, compared to a net loss of Rs 0.74 bn in the same quarter last year.
Despite the higher loss, the company's sales rose 3.15% to Rs 9.83 bn from Rs 9.53 bn a year ago.
For the full year ending March 2026, the company's net loss narrowed to Rs 7.44 bn, compared to Rs 8.16 bn in the previous year.
Annual sales remained largely flat, increasing marginally by 0.16% to Rs 37.15 bn from Rs 37.09 bn in the previous year
