Sensex Today Trades Higher; Nifty Above 24,150

Asian markets traded higher on Wednesday, following overnight rally on Wall Street.

US stock market ended higher on Tuesday as strong earnings from banks and a cooler-than-expected inflation report boosted sentiment.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 476 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 139 points higher.

Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, and Asian Paints are among the top gainers today.

TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.7% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.9% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the metal sector and IT sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in the banking sector and auto sector witnessed selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.9 against the US dollar.

Tata Elxsi Q1FY27 Performance

Tata Elxsi reported a strong performance for the quarter ended June 2026.

Revenue increased 14.5% year-on-year to Rs 10.2 bn, compared with Rs 8.9 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net profit rose 18.2% year-on-year to Rs 1.7 bn, up from Rs 1.4 bn in the June 2025 quarter.

L&T Technology Services Q1FY27 Performance

L&T Technology Services reported steady growth for the quarter ended June 2026.

Revenue increased 11.5% year-on-year to Rs 29.4 bn, compared with Rs 26.4 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net profit rose 13.0% year-on-year to Rs 3.6 bn, up from Rs 3.2 bn in the June 2025 quarter.

Incorporated in 2012, L&T Technology Services is an engineering and technology services company, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, providing design, development, testing, and maintenance services across products and processes.

NBCC Secures Major Government Project Orders

NBCC (India) has secured multiple orders worth Rs 5.0 bn, further strengthening its order book across education and infrastructure projects.

The largest contract, valued at Rs 4.3 bn, was awarded by the Rajasthan Council of School Education for the turnkey construction of 2,256 science laboratories across 922 government schools in Rajasthan.

The company also received a Rs 0.6 bn Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract from Bharat Electronics (BEL), along with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services, for developing infrastructure facilities for NFTRs.

Additionally, Power Finance Corporation (PFC) awarded NBCC two Project Management Agency (PMA) contracts under its CSR initiatives. These include the construction of a tourist facilitation centre in Aizawl, Mizoram, and a new school building in Bambolim, Goa, with a combined value of approximately Rs 0.1 bn.

NBCC operates across three core business segments: Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), and Real Estate Development.
