At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 357 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 104 points lower.

Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and HDFC Bank are among the top gainers today.

Titan Company, ITC, and NTPC, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.4% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the energy sector and the oil & gas sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in the services sector and the banking sector witnessed selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 94.4 against the US dollar.

Tata Motors Bags Massive EV Orders

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors has secured orders for more than 3,400 electric commercial vehicles from customers across freight, logistics, and passenger transport segments.

The orders include electric pickup vehicles, trucks, and buses that will be used in industries such as e-commerce, FMCG distribution, mining, cement, steel, logistics, and public transportation.

The company said the strong demand highlights growing confidence in electric mobility solutions and shows that businesses are increasingly adopting EVs for large-scale operations rather than just pilot projects.

Over the past year, Tata Motors has also expanded its electric commercial vehicle portfolio by launching new-generation EVs designed to meet a wide range of business and transportation needs.

RVNL Wins Major Vizag Infrastructure Project

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has won a Rs 29.77 billion (bn) contract from NMDC to develop infrastructure facilities in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The project involves building buffer stockyards and a blending yard with the capacity to handle 10 million tonnes of material annually. The work is expected to be completed within 42 months.

RVNL said the contract was awarded by NMDC, a government-owned mining company, and there is no promoter or related-party involvement in the deal.

RVNL is a public sector company that develops and executes railway infrastructure projects across India, while NMDC is India's largest iron ore producer and is also involved in diamond mining, sponge iron production, and wind power generation.

Power Mech Strengthens Order Book Further

Power Mech Projects has secured a Rs 10.08 bn contract from JSW Thermal Energy Limited for civil and structural works at its 2x800 MW thermal power plant project in Salboni, West Bengal.

The project involves construction work in the boiler, turbine, and generator (BTG) area of the power plant.

The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is scheduled to be completed within 36 months from the commencement date.
