The Asian markets are under pressure today despite a dip in crude oil prices. This follows US equity-index futures experiencing a slight decline as investors adopted a cautious stance ahead of Nvidia Corp.'s earnings report, which is anticipated to assess confidence in the artificial intelligence sector.
US stocks gained on Tuesday as investors brushed aside worries about new trade measures against Canada, even as Canada announced new retaliatory tariffs on US goods.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 305 points higher, and NSE Nifty is trading 35 points higher.
Kotak Mahindra, SBI, and Adani Ports are among the top gainers today.
Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Bharat Elec, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.3% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.5% higher.
The rupee is trading at Rs 95.2 against the US dollar.
Honasa Ends Fluence Pharma Acquisition Deal
Honasa Consumer, the company behind Mamaearth and The Derma Co, has cancelled its plan to buy a 58% stake in nutraceuticals company Fluence Pharma.
The company said on August 25 that the deal could not be completed because some required closing conditions under the agreement were not fulfilled. It did not specify which conditions were unmet.
Honasa announced the acquisition on June 23. It planned to buy the 58% stake for an enterprise value of Rs 1.35 billion (bn), subject to certain adjustments and approvals.
The deal was expected to help Honasa enter the nutraceuticals market through its subsidiary, Honasa Health. Despite the cancellation, the company said it remains focused on building its nutraceutical business and will continue to explore other acquisition and growth opportunities.

ARSS Infrastructure Secures Major Railway Contract
ARSS Infrastructure has received a significant Rs 1.04 bn order from East Coast Railway for the construction of two Road Over Bridges (ROBs) in Odisha. The project will be carried out on the Howrah-Visakhapatnam Main Line under the Khurda Road Division.
The first bridge will be constructed in place of Level Crossing No. 152 between New Garhmadhapur and Haridaspur stations. The second Road Over Bridge will be built in place of Level Crossing No. 157 on the same railway route. The work includes construction of railway portions as well as approach roads on both sides of the bridges, using composite girders, RCC girders and a 60-metre Camel Back type truss girder.
The total contract value is Rs 1.04 bn, and ARSS Infrastructure is expected to complete the entire project within 24 months. The order strengthens the company's presence in the railway infrastructure segment and adds a sizeable project to its order book.
