Sensex Today Trades Higher; HDFC Bank & Eternal Top Gainers

Sensex and Nifty are trading higher following a strong tech-led rally on Wall Street.

Asian stock markets traded mostly higher on Tuesday after a strong rally in US technology shares lifted Wall Street.

US benchmark indices started the new trading week on a positive note, with Wall Street stocks posting strong gains on Monday, September 21, recovering most of the losses recorded in the previous week. The rally was supported by a decline in bond yields and oil prices, along with strong buying in AI-related chip stocks.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 122 points higher, and NSE Nifty is trading 45 points higher.

HDFC Bank, Eternal, Maruti Suzuki the top gainers today.

HCL Tech, Infosys, TCS on the other hand is among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.3% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today with stocks in IT sector and healthcare sector witnesses selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in realty sector and power sector witnesses buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.7 against the US dollar.

Waaree Energies Secures Major Solar Order

Waaree Energies has received an order from a renowned domestic customer that is a leading solar developer for the supply of 2 GW of solar modules.

The one-time order will be executed during FY2026-27 and FY2027-28.

The order covers the supply of 2 GW of solar modules and further strengthens Waaree Energies' order pipeline in India's growing solar energy market.

Waaree Energies is India's largest manufacturer and exporter of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. The company offers a wide range of renewable energy solutions, including solar panel manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, project development, rooftop solar systems, solar water pumps, and independent power production.

GRSE Approves Major Greenfield Shipyard Expansion

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has approved a capital budgetary outlay of Rs 28.96 billion for the construction of a greenfield shipyard at Raichak.

The new facility is aimed at enhancing the company's shipbuilding capacity across both the naval and commercial segments, as part of its broader capacity expansion plans announced earlier.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders is an India-based warship-building company. The company is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, primarily catering to the shipbuilding requirements of the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard.
