
Asian markets opened higher on Thursday, as the global market bias turned mildly positive after strong buying in the US stock market on Wednesday.
US equities rebounded on Wednesday as Treasury yields took a breather from their recent surge, with the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow all snapping a three-day losing streak.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 323 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 103 points higher.
Adani Ports, Tata Steel, and Axis Bank are the top gainers today.
Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Infosys, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.7% higher.
Sectoral indices were trading mixed, with the IT sector and the FMCG sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the bank sector and the realty sector witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 94.9 against the US dollar.
POWERGRID Secures Major Rajasthan Green Energy Project
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has emerged as the successful bidder under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding for developing the Inter-State Transmission System for the Rajasthan REZ Phase-IV (Part-5: 6 GW) Barmer Complex project.
The project, awarded on a BOOT basis, carries quoted annual transmission charges of Rs 32.44 billion (bn), with the Letter of Intent received on September 2, 2026.
The project includes 6,000 MW ±800 kV HVDC terminals at Barmer-II, Rajasthan, and South Kalamb, Maharashtra, connected through an approximately 1,000-km HVDC bipole transmission line.
The system will traverse Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra and also includes 400 kV transmission lines, associated bays and two SynCon units at Barmer-II.

HUDCO Signs MoU for Bihar Industrial Parks
Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has signed an MoU with the Government of Bihar to support the development of industrial parks across the state.
Under the agreement, HUDCO will provide term loans of up to Rs 25 bn over five years to fund industrial infrastructure, including land acquisition and development. The funding will be provided in phases to designated state authorities.
HUDCO will offer flexible financing terms, including a repayment period of up to 25 years, a possible moratorium and an option for prepayment. The loan will be repaid through project revenues or other identified state revenue sources.
