Sensex Today Trades Higher; Bajaj Finance & HDFC Bank Top Gainers

Indian share markets are trading higher with Sensex trading 405 points higher, and Nifty is trading 123 points higher.

Asian stock markets traded broadly higher on Thursday, following strong earnings of US chipmaker Micron.

US stock market ended mixed on Wednesday, with Nasdaq and S&P 500 closing lower, dragged by selling in megacap tech stocks.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 405 points higher and NSE Nifty is trading 123 points higher.

M&M, Maruti Suzuki, SBI among the top gainers today.

Power Grid Corp, Titan Company, Infosys on the other hand is among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% higher and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.04% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today with stocks in realty sector and auto sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in IT sector and metal sector witnessed selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 94.2 against the US dollar.

Vedanta Expands into Real Estate Business

Vedanta has entered the real estate sector through the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Vedanta Property Platforms Ltd (VPPL).

The new entity will act as a dedicated platform for managing real estate projects, monetising surplus land and non-core property assets, and exploring joint ventures and asset-light opportunities.

The initiative is part of Vedanta's broader strategy to unlock value from underutilized assets while supporting growth and capital allocation across its core metals and energy businesses.

HCLTech Wins Major Renewable Energy Deal

HCLTech has been selected as a strategic technology partner by Neste, the world's leading producer of sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel.

Under this partnership, HCLTech will help streamline and modernize Neste's IT operations by consolidating services, improving efficiency, and building a scalable technology platform. The collaboration is part of Neste's broader performance improvement initiative aimed at strengthening operations and supporting future growth in its renewable energy business.

By leveraging HCLTech's global scale and technical expertise, Neste aims to enhance its IT capabilities, maintain business continuity, and create a stronger foundation for long-term growth and operational excellence

NLC India Strengthens Energy Sector Collaboration

NLC India has signed an MoU with Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) to form a joint venture for developing renewable energy projects in Tamil Nadu.

The partnership will focus on setting up large-scale solar, wind, and hybrid power projects, along with energy storage solutions such as battery energy storage systems and pumped storage projects. The power generated will be supplied to third-party consumers, including commercial and industrial users.

The proposed projects will also support emerging green energy applications, including the production of green fuels and chemicals.

NLC India CMD Prasanna Kumar Motupalli said the collaboration marks an important step in the company's expansion into clean and sustainable energy. He highlighted the joint venture's focus on renewable technologies such as solar, wind, hybrid systems, energy storage, green hydrogen, and other future clean energy opportunities.
