Sensex Today Trades Flat; HDFC Bank & Infosys Top Losers

Asian markets traded mostly higher on Wednesday, with Japan and South Korea's benchmark indices hitting new highs.

US stock market ended mixed on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq hitting record closing highs, led by a rally in semiconductor stocks amid AI-fueled optimism.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 48 points higher and NSE Nifty is trading 21 points higher.

Eternal, Infosys, SBI among the top gainers today.

HDFC Bank, Infosys, Bharat Elec on the other hand are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.5% higher and the BSE 250 Smallcap index is trading 0.5% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today stocks in banking sector and IT sector witnesses selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in power sector and telecommunication sector witnesses buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.7 against the US dollar.

ONGC Q4 Results

The shares of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will be in focus today after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

ONGC reported a net profit of Rs 6.65 billion (bn) in Q4 FY26, compared to Rs 6.45 bn in the same quarter last year and Rs 8.37 bn in the previous quarter, according to the company's stock exchange filing.

Revenue from operations rose marginally to Rs 35.93 bn during the quarter, up from Rs 34.98 bn in Q4 FY25.

For the full year FY26, ONGC posted a net profit of Rs 32.89 bn, down 7.6% from Rs 35.61 bn reported in FY25.

JK Tyre & Industries Q4 Results

Shares of JK Tyre & Industries came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

JK Tyre & Industries reported a strong performance for Q4 FY26, with net profit rising 83.4% YoY to Rs 1.78 bn compared to Rs 0.97 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations increased 12.4% YoY to Rs 42.23 bn during the quarter, up from Rs 37.59 bn in Q4 FY25.

For the full year FY26, the company posted a net profit of Rs 7.76 bn, marking a 52.3% increase over Rs 5.09 bn reported in FY25.

Annual revenue rose 11.1% to Rs 163.27 bn compared to Rs 146.93 bn in the previous financial year.

IRCTC Q4 Results

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) shares came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

Revenue from operations increased 15% YoY to Rs 14.6 bn during the quarter, compared to Rs 12.69 bn in the same period last year.

EBITDA rose 3.5% YoY to Rs 3.99 bn from Rs 3.85 bn a year ago, although EBITDA margin contracted to 27.3% from 30.4% due to higher operating costs.

Total expenses for the quarter climbed more than 19% YoY and nearly 8% sequentially to Rs 10.8 bn, impacting overall profitability despite healthy revenue growth.

The catering segment remained the company's largest business, contributing around 46% of total sales. Revenue from catering grew nearly 27% YoY to Rs 6.71 bn. Meanwhile, the internet ticketing business reported revenue growth of around 5% YoY to Rs 3.9 bn.

Revenue from the tourism division increased nearly 11% YoY to Rs 3.04 bn, while the Rail Neer packaged drinking water business posted a marginal increase of over 4% YoY to Rs 1 bn.
