US benchmark indices closed lower on Monday, September 28, marking a weak start to the week as rising bond yields, elevated oil prices and a stronger US dollar weighed on investor sentiment.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 695 points lower, and NSE Nifty is trading 200 points lower.
Sun Pharma, Adani Ports are the top gainers today.
Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra on the other hand is among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.7% lower and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.8% lower.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today with stocks in insurance sector and banking sector witnesses selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in service sector and healthcare sector witnessed buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 96.1 against the US dollar.
HCLSoftware Acquires Robotiq.ai for RPA
HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, a Zagreb, Croatia-based provider of enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology. The acquisition is expected to close in November 2026.
The proposed acquisition is aimed at strengthening HCLSoftware's agentic AI capabilities by adding enterprise-grade RPA functionality. Robotiq.ai's technology enables AI-driven workflows to execute tasks across business applications, including environments where APIs are unavailable or insufficient.
The integration is expected to complement HCL UnO Agentic's orchestration capabilities, extending its functionality from AI-driven reasoning and decision-making to automated execution of business processes.
Robotiq.ai's RPA platform is used by organizations across the banking, insurance, and telecommunications sectors. The platform offers features including ISO-certified security, audit logging, and flexible deployment options designed to support secure and reliable enterprise automation.
HCLSoftware stated that the acquisition reflects growing enterprise demand for AI systems that can operate reliably and securely at production scale. Robotiq.ai's technology is expected to provide additional execution capabilities while supporting governed and orchestrated automation across enterprise environments.
Following the completion of the acquisition, HCLSoftware and Robotiq.ai are expected to combine AI orchestration with enterprise RPA to enable organizations to automate a broader range of business processes.

NCC Secures Major Andhra Pradesh Water Project
NCC Limited has received an order from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Visakhapatnam, Government of Andhra Pradesh, for providing drinking water supply under the Multi Village Scheme on the Yeleru Reservoir for the Anakapalli segment in Anakapalli District, Andhra Pradesh.
The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is governed by the General Conditions of the Contract.
The project involves the construction and implementation of a drinking water supply system under the Multi Village Scheme. The project is scheduled to be executed over a period of 24 months.
The total contract value is Rs 10.76 billion, excluding GST.
