
Asian markets traded mixed on Monday, amid concerns over escalating US-Iran war in the Middle East.
US stock market ended lower on Friday, with all three major indices also posting weekly losses, as the selloff in semiconductor stocks broadened.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 664 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 167 points lower.
Trent, NTPC, Tech Mahindra among the top gainers today.
Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.1% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.1% higher.
Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the metal sector and oil & gas sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in the banking sector and realty sector witnessed selling pressure.
The rupee is trading at Rs 96.3 against the US dollar.
HDFC Bank Q1FY27 Performance
HDFC Bank reported a standalone net profit of Rs 190.6 billion (bn) for the April-June quarter (Q1 FY27), up 5% year-on-year (YoY) from Rs 181.6 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.
Net interest income (NII)-the difference between interest earned and interest paid-rose 7% YoY to Rs 335.3 bn, compared with Rs 314.4 bn in Q1 FY26.
On the asset quality front, gross non-performing assets (GNPAs) declined by over 3% YoY to Rs 358.5 bn, while net NPAs increased marginally to Rs 123.6 bn.
The bank reported a net interest margin (NIM) of 3.26% on total assets and 3.40% on interest-earning assets.
HDFC Bank's total balance sheet expanded to Rs 43.97 trillion as of June 30, 2026, compared with Rs 39.54 trillion a year earlier.
ICICI Bank Q1 FY27 Performance
ICICI Bank reported a 16% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to Rs 148.0 bn for Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 127.7 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.
The bank's net interest income (NII) grew 12.7% YoY to Rs 243.8 bn, supported by healthy credit growth and improved margins. Net interest margin (NIM) improved slightly to 4.36%, compared with 4.34% in the year-ago quarter.
Asset quality remained strong, with the gross non-performing asset (GNPA) ratio improving to 1.38% and the net non-performing asset (NNPA) ratio at 0.35% as of June 30, 2026.
Total advances increased 19.6% YoY to Rs 16.31 trillion, while total deposits grew 14% YoY to Rs 18.34 trillion. Retail loans accounted for 49.2% of the bank's total loan portfolio and expanded 12% compared with the same period last year.
Yes Bank Q1 FY27 Performance
Yes Bank reported a net profit of Rs 10.7 bn for Q1 FY27, marking a 33.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase and a marginal 0.2% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) rise.
The bank's net interest margin (NIM) improved to 2.7%, up 20 basis points from a year earlier, supported by a lower cost of deposits and reduced balances of Priority Sector Lending (PSL) shortfall deposits.
Advances grew 18.3% YoY and 4.3% QoQ, while deposits increased 14.3% YoY. On an Average Quarterly Balance (AQB) basis, advances and deposits rose 15.1% and 14.8% YoY, respectively.
CASA deposits increased 14.3% YoY, while CASA growth on an AQB basis stood slightly higher at 15% YoY.
Retail asset disbursements maintained strong momentum during the quarter, surging 27.5% YoY, reflecting continued growth in the bank's retail lending business.
