Indian equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty50, recouped most of the intraday losses as IT stocks supported, while traders monitored the situation in West Asia.
At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed 77 points higher (up 0.1%)
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 6 points higher
Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and Bharti Airtel were the top gainers today.
Tata Steel, Power Grid Corp, and SBI, on the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The GIFT Nifty was trading at 23,648 with 59 points lower at the time of writing.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.4% lower, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 1.6% lower.
Baring IT sector and the telecommunication sector all other sectoral indices were trading negatively today, with the metal sector and the auto sector witnessing selling pressure.
The rupee is trading at Rs 96.3 against the US$.
Gold prices for the latest contract on MCX are trading 0.2% higher at Rs 1,58,944 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices were trading 0.4% higher at 2,73,200 per 1 kg.
Alembic Pharma Q4 FY26 Results
Shares of Alembic Pharma came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.
In the March 2026 quarter, Alembic Pharmaceuticals reported a 29% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 2.02 billion (bn), compared to Rs 1.57 bn in the year-ago period.
Revenue for the quarter increased 4.4% to Rs 18.48 bn, against Rs 17.70 bn in the corresponding period last year.
The company's EBITDA declined 16.2% Y-o-Y to Rs 2.28 bn from Rs 2.72 bn. Ebitda margin narrowed to 12.3% from 15.4% in Q4FY25.
Its India-branded business grew 4% Y-o-Y to Rs 5.68 bn during the quarter. The company's gynaecology, gastrology, ophthalmology, and animal healthcare segments delivered encouraging performance. It launched two new products in the domestic market during the quarter.
The company's board of directors also recommended a final dividend of Rs 12 per equity share of face value Rs 2 each for shareholders.
Godfrey Phillips Q4 FY26 Results
Shares of Godfrey Phillips came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.
The company's consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter rose sharply to Rs 34.86 bn, compared with Rs 18.88 bn in the year-ago period.
For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026, Godfrey Phillips India reported an 86% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) surge in consolidated net profit to Rs 5.21 bn, driven by strong sales growth. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2.80 bn in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
For the full financial year 2026, consolidated net profit increased to Rs 15.26 bn from Rs 10.72 bn in FY25. Annual revenue also climbed to Rs 91.21 bn, against Rs 67.67 bn in the preceding fiscal year.

Delhivery Q4 FY26 Results
Shares of Delhivery came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.
Delhivery reported a 30% year-on-year (Y-o-Y) increase in revenue for Q4FY26 to Rs 28.50 bn, while EBITDA surged 80% to Rs 2.14 bn. EBITDA margin expanded significantly to 7.5% from 5.4% in Q4FY25.
Net profit, however, remained largely unchanged at Rs 0.72 bn during the quarter.
The company's Express Parcel segment recorded a 46% Y-o-Y rise in revenue to Rs 18.30 bn, supported by a 73% increase in shipments following the integration of Ecom Express. The segment reported an EBITDA margin of 18.8%, up 290 basis points Y-o-Y and 70 bps quarter-on-quarter (Q-o-Q).
Meanwhile, the Part Truck Load (PTL) business posted nearly 20% Y-o-Y growth in revenue to Rs 6.20 bn, with tonnage also rising 20% Y-o-Y. The segment's EBITDA margin improved to 13.5%, expanding 240 bps Q-o-Q and 270 bps Y-o-Y.
