Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 41 points lower (down 0.1%)
Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, and HDFC Bank are the top gainers today.
ITC, M&M, Trent, on the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The GIFT Nifty was trading at 23,932, 32 points lower at the time of writing.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.1% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 1% higher.
Sectoral indices were trading mixed today, with the power sector and realty sector witnessing buying. Meanwhile, stocks in the IT sector and auto sector witnessed selling pressure.
The rupee is trading at Rs 94.5 against the US$.
Gold prices for the latest contract on MCX are trading 0.7% higher at Rs 1,53,503 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices were trading 0.4% higher at 2,37,360 per 1 kg.
Titan Biotech Announces Bonus & Dividend Record Date
Titan Biotech shares came into focus after the company announced a 1:4 bonus issue and fixed September 22, 2026, as the record date for its Rs 0.50 per-share final dividend for FY26.
As per the company's exchange filing, eligible shareholders will receive one new fully paid-up Rs2 equity share for every four existing Rs 2 shares held on the record date.
Titan Biotech manufactures collagen, skincare, bone and joint care ingredients, proteins and animal nutrition products.
Separately, the company announced that its Board, at its May 30, 2026 meeting, recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.50 per equity share for FY26. The record date has been set as Tuesday, September 22, 2026, to determine shareholders eligible for the dividend.

SML Mahindra Announced August Sales Update
Shares of commercial vehicle maker SML Mahindra surged on Thursday, despite the weak market, after the company reported strong sales for August 2026.
The company's cargo vehicle sales jumped 53% year-on-year to 492 units, compared with 321 units in August last year. Passenger vehicle sales also increased 31% to 683 units from 521 units a year ago.
Between April and August 2026, SML Mahindra's total sales grew 14% year-on-year to 8,216 units.
Mahindra & Mahindra acquired a 58.96% controlling stake in SML Isuzu last year and later renamed the company SML Mahindra. The company manufactures and sells commercial vehicles and related parts.
