
Although the benchmark indices opened lower, they traded negative throughout the session and ultimately closed red.
Indian equity benchmarks indices, Sensex and Nifty50 declined as IT, metal, PSU bank, and media shares declined amid escalating geopolitical tension and worries about monetary tightening.
At the closing bell, the BSE Sensex closed 382 points lower (down 0.5%)
Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty closed 118 points lower (down 0.5%)
Maruti Suzuki, Bharat Elec, Bharti Airtel are the top gainers today.
Infosys, Tata Steel, Trent the other hand, were among the top losers today.
The GIFT Nifty was trading at 23,825 with 185 points lower at the time of writing.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.6% lower and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.04% higher.
Sectoral indices were trading mixed today with auto sector and telecommunication sector witnessed buying. Meanwhile, stocks in IT sector and metal sector witnesses selling pressure.
The rupee is trading at Rs 94.4 against the US$.
Gold prices for the latest contract on MCX are trading 0.02% higher at Rs 1,52,802 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices were trading 0.02% lower at 2,37,600 per 1 kg.
TCS-Backed HyperVault Builds Hyderabad AI Campus
HyperVault, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has secured 264 acres in Hyderabad to develop a large-scale AI data center campus with capacity of up to 1GW.
Purpose-built for frontier AI companies and hyperscalers, the campus will support high-density GPU deployments for AI training, inference, and advanced computing workloads. The project will be developed in phases based on customer demand and evolving technology requirements.
At full capacity, the campus is expected to rank among India's largest and most advanced AI infrastructure hubs. It will incorporate green energy and water-neutral design principles while strengthening Telangana's position as a strategic destination for AI and digital infrastructure.
With HyperVault and its partners expected to invest up to Rs 700 billion, the project is also set to drive growth across power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering, and operations, while creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

CG Power Strengthens India's Transformer Manufacturing
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. has rolled out the first power transformer from its new greenfield manufacturing facility in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh.
Spread across 50 acres, the facility is India's largest single-location power transformer manufacturing plant, producing transformers ranging from 220 kV to 1200 kV, with a capacity of up to 35 transformers per month.
Built in just 13-14 months, the facility highlights CG's execution capabilities and strengthens its ability to serve critical sectors including utilities, data centres, railways, renewable energy, oil and gas, and transmission infrastructure. The plant will also support CG's expanding global export business.
