September retail sales data reveals significant upward revisions for the previous two months, steepening the current uptrend in consumer spending.
After yesterday’s retail sales revision making this report tighter to bricks-and-mortar store series, today’s Sept 2026 report revised the past 2mos higher thus steepening the uptrend in this series.
We are most interested in the near-term trend than any absolute amount. This is a good report.
