After two tumultuous weeks, we have a relatively lighter one. This does not mean a lack of volatility and unexpected events could certainly pop up while the Olympic Games are drawing attention. The big events of the week come from a focus on the US consumer: retail sales and consumer confidence take center stage. Also note Germany’s GDP as well as China’s trade balance.
