Nifty Below 24,300; Infosys & Titan Company Top Losers

Indian share markets are trading lower with Sensex trading 349 points lower, and Nifty is trading 74 points lower.

Asian equities were largely subdued on Monday as investors remained cautious about oil prices, which posted strong gains last week amid the absence of progress towards ending the Iran conflict, keeping concerns over inflation elevated.

US stock futures were largely flat on Sunday evening, as the S&P 500 headed into a fourth week of gains despite closing lower on Friday.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 349 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 74 points lower.

Axis Bank, Tata Steel, Bharat Elec among the top gainers today.

SBI, Infosys, Titan Company, on the other hand are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.1% lower, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.01% lower.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the power sector and IT sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the healthcare sector and industrial sector witnessed buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.4 against the US dollar.

Cochin Shipyard Q1FY27 Performance

Shares of Cochin Shipyard came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

Cochin Shipyard reported a 19.4% YoY decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 1.51 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 1.88 bn in Q1 FY26. The decline was mainly due to lower revenue from the ship-repair segment and an adverse segment mix.

On a sequential basis, net profit declined 45.2% from Rs 2.76 bn in Q4 FY26, while revenue fell 26.3%.

Revenue from operations increased 2.4% YoY to Rs 10.94 bn, compared with Rs 10.69 bn in Q1 FY26. EBITDA declined to Rs 1.93 bn from Rs 2.40 bn, with the EBITDA margin moderating to 17.7% from 22.5%.

The shipbuilding segment remained strong, with revenue rising 59.5% YoY to Rs 7.00 bn from Rs 4.39 bn, while segment profit (PBIT) increased 75.5% to Rs 0.64 bn from Rs 0.36 bn.

However, the ship-repair segment saw a sharp decline, with revenue falling 37.4% YoY to Rs 3.94 bn from Rs 6.30 bn. Segment profit declined 51.5% to Rs 1.35 bn from Rs 2.78 bn.

Total expenses increased 9.1% YoY to Rs 9.59 bn, compared with Rs 8.73 bn a year earlier. Material consumption rose to Rs 4.53 bn from Rs 3.25 bn, while finance costs increased to Rs 0.25 bn from Rs 0.12 bn.

Voltas Q1FY27 Performance

Shares of Voltas came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

Voltas reported a 53% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 2.14 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 1.40 bn in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue from operations rose 19% YoY to Rs 46.74 bn, from Rs 39.39 bn in Q1 FY26.

EBITDA increased 48.7% YoY to Rs 2.66 bn, compared with Rs 1.79 bn a year earlier. The EBITDA margin improved to 5.7% from 4.5% YoY.


Schneider Electric Infrastructure Q1FY27 Performance

Shares of Schneider Electric Infrastructure came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure reported a 69.8% YoY decline in net profit to Rs 0.12 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 0.41 bn in the year-ago quarter.

Sales increased 4.8% YoY to Rs 6.51 bn, from Rs 6.22 bn in Q1 FY26.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited, incorporated in 2011, is engaged in the business of manufacturing, designing, building and servicing technologically advanced products and systems for the electricity network.
