Asian equities traded on a mixed note in early Tuesday deals, with the MSCI Asia Pacific Index gaining 0.3%.

US stock futures remained largely unchanged on Monday night after the major averages started the week lower, as ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, coupled with inflationary concerns, pushed Treasury yields higher.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 226 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 43 points lower.

Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Eternal are among the top gainers today.

Bharti Airtel, Infosys, HCL Tech, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% lower, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.1% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the banking sector and telecommunication sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the oil & gas sector and auto sector witnessed buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.6 against the US dollar.

Manipal Health Acquires Kinder Hospital Assets

Manipal Health Enterprises is acquiring the entire business operations and assets of Kinder Women's Hospital and Fertility Centre, located in Doddanekundi Industrial Area, Bengaluru, Karnataka, which is owned by Kindorama Healthcare Private Limited.

Kinder Hospital operates in the healthcare services sector and recorded revenue from operations of approximately Rs 0.2 billion (bn) for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.

The acquisition is in line with the Company's existing healthcare business and strategic plans and is expected to provide further growth opportunities.

The transaction is subject to certain statutory and customary approvals, primarily relating to the change in ownership of Kinder Hospital, and is expected to be completed within 90 days from execution.

The consideration will be paid entirely in cash, with a total acquisition cost of Rs 1.3 bn. The transaction is structured as an asset/business acquisition and does not involve the purchase of shares; accordingly, Manipal Health Enterprises will acquire the entire business operations and assets of Kinder Hospital.


Highway Infrastructure Wins NHAI Toll Collection Contract

Highway Infrastructure has been awarded a contract by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the operation and collection of user fees at the Palayam Fee Plaza, located at Km 154+500 on NH-44 in the Krishnagiri-Thumbipadi section from Km 94+000 to Km 180+000 in Tamil Nadu.

The contract also includes the upkeep and maintenance of the adjacent toilet blocks, including replenishment of consumable items.

The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is for a period of 90 days. The total contract value is Rs 0.8 bn.
