Asian stocks slid on Thursday as the biggest wave of attacks on shipping in the widening war in the Middle East kept oil prices above $100 a barrel, leaving investors nervous ahead of US inflation data that will influence monetary policy.

Benchmark indices on Wall Street extended their losses on Wednesday, September 9, as an expanded bond-buyback programme failed to ease the sell-off in US Treasuries. Rising crude oil prices further weighed on investor sentiment.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 20 points lower, and NSE Nifty is trading 6 points lower.

Tech Mahindra, Infosys, ITC the top gainers today.

M&M, Bharat Elec, Tata Steel on the other hand is among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.2% lower and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.05% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today with power sector and metal sector witnessed buying. Meanwhile, stocks in metal sector and auto sector witnesses selling pressure.

The rupee is trading at Rs 94.8 against the US dollar.

Dilip Buildcon Wins LPG Pipeline Project LoI

Dilip Buildcon shares are likely to remain in focus on September 10 after the company emerged as the successful bidder for a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to develop an LPG pipeline connecting Paradip, Odisha, with Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Under the project, Dilip Buildcon will receive an exclusive licence to design, finance, develop, construct, operate and maintain the LPG pipeline, subject to regulatory approvals.

The project involves a three-year construction period, followed by 25 years of operations. The company will also be authorised to levy and collect transportation tariffs.

The pipeline is expected to transport LPG to bottling plants operated by various oil marketing companies, helping replace road-based movement through LPG tankers and potentially improving transportation efficiency and road safety.


Shakti Pumps Secures Major Solar Pump Order

Shakti Pumps (India) has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company for 10,000 Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP for the entire state of Maharashtra under Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.

The total value of the 10,000 pumps is around Rs. 235.92 crore (inclusive of GST) which is to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of work order/NTP.
