Nifty Above 24,600; Trent & Titan Company Top Gainers

Indian share markets are trading higher, with the Sensex trading 113 points higher and the Nifty trading 25 points higher.

Asian markets advanced on Monday, August 10, following gains on Wall Street in the previous session, as investors reacted to weaker-than-expected US employment data.

US stock slipped on Sunday night as concerns grew over the likelihood of a near-term agreement between the US and Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 113 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 25 points higher.

Trent, Titan Company, and ICICI Bank are among the top gainers today.

Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel, TCS, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.06% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.03% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today, with stocks in the services sector and telecommunication sector witnessing selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the oil & gas sector and IT sector witnessed buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 95.2 against the US dollar.

Titan Q1FY27 Performance

Shares of Titan Company came into focus after the company reported its Q1 FY27 results.

Titan Company Ltd, one of India's leading jewellery and watchmakers, reported a 62.9% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 17.77 billion (bn) in Q1 FY27, driven primarily by strong growth in its jewellery business.

The company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 10.91 bn in the April-June quarter of FY26.

Consolidated sales increased 40.3% YoY to Rs 207.87 bn in Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 148.14 bn in the year-ago period.

Total expenses rose 26% YoY to Rs 190.75 bn during the quarter.

Titan's jewellery business, which contributes around 90% of the company's overall business, recorded 29.7% YoY growth, with revenue rising to Rs 190.02 bn from Rs 146.47 bn in Q1 FY26.

Total consolidated income increased 29.3% YoY to Rs 215.02 bn during the quarter.

Ola Electric Mobility Q1 FY27 Performance

Ola Electric reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 3.36 bn for the quarter ended June 30, narrowing from a net loss of Rs 4.28 bn in the year-ago period.

However, revenue from operations declined 45% YoY to Rs 4.55 bn, compared with Rs 8.28 bn a year earlier.

Despite the decline in revenue, the electric two-wheeler maker reported a sharp sequential improvement following its restructuring last year.

Adjusted operating EBITDA improved to negative Rs 1.95 bn, compared with negative Rs 3.26 bn in the previous quarter, while operating EBITDA improved to negative Rs 1.65 bn from negative Rs 2.81 bn.

Apollo Micro Systems Q1 FY27 Performance

Apollo Micro Systems reported a 43% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 0.25 bn in Q1 FY27, while revenue from operations surged 88% YoY to Rs 2.51 bn, compared with Rs 1.34 bn in the year-ago quarter.

EBITDA increased 18% YoY to Rs 0.48 bn, from Rs 0.41 bn in Q1 FY26. The company said this was its highest-ever EBITDA for the June quarter.

The defence electronics company attributed its strong performance to robust execution and sustained demand from the defence sector.

However, profitability at the operating level came under pressure, with EBITDA margin declining to 21.4% in Q1 FY27 from 30.6% a year earlier, a contraction of 9.2 percentage points.
