At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 18 points lower, and the NSE Nifty is trading 7 points higher.
Bharat Elec, Trent, and HDFC Bank are among the top gainers today.
Infosys, HCL Tech, and TCS, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.
The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.01% higher, and the BSE 250 SmallCap index is trading 0.4% higher.
Baring IT sector and the energy sector, all other sectoral indices are trading positively today, with stocks in the realty sector and the banking sector witnessing buying.
The rupee is trading at Rs 94.5 against the US dollar.
RVNL Wins Major East Coast Contract
Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from East Coast Railway for a project worth Rs 9.67 billion (bn).
The project involves the construction of four major railway bridges over the Birupa, Mahanadi, Kathjori, and Kuakhai rivers as part of the 3rd and 4th railway line expansion on the Bhadrak-Vizianagaram rail corridor.
The work will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis.
HFCL Wins Major BharatNet Phase-III Contract
HFCL has secured a Rs 26.66 bn contract from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) under the BharatNet Phase-III project in the Uttar Pradesh (West) Telecom Circle.
The project includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of telecom equipment, creation of an optical fiber network, and maintenance of the network for 10 years, including a one-year warranty period.
This order comes in addition to the Rs 21.67 bn BharatNet Phase-III contracts previously awarded to HFCL by RVNL in Uttar Pradesh.
Lupin Expands US Portfolio with Launch
Lupin has launched Azilsartan Medoxomil Tablets (40 mg and 80 mg) in the United States after receiving approval from the US FDA.
The medicine is a generic version of Edarbi and is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults.
Lupin is the first company to receive approval for this generic drug and will enjoy 180 days of exclusive marketing rights in the US.
According to industry data, the branded version of the drug recorded annual US sales of around US$53.5 million as of April 2026.
Lupin is a global pharmaceutical company engaged in branded and generic medicines, biotechnology products, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
