Asian markets traded higher on Friday on reports that the US and Iran are moving closer to a temporary agreement to halt their three-month conflict.

US stock market ended higher on Thursday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq posting record closing highs, as reports of the US-Iran peace deal boosted sentiment.

At present, the BSE Sensex is trading 105 points higher, and the NSE Nifty is trading 3 points lower.

Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, among the top gainers today.

Tata Steel, NTPC, and Bharti Airtel, on the other hand, are among the top losers today.

The BSE 150 Midcap index is trading 0.1% lower, and the BSE 250 Smallcap index is trading 0.5% higher.

Sectoral indices are trading mixed today. Stocks in the metal and auto sectors witness selling pressure. Meanwhile, stocks in the IT sector and realty sector witness buying.

The rupee is trading at Rs 96.00 against the US dollar.

Ashok Leyland Q4 Results

The shares of Ashok Leyland will be in focus today after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group, posted its highest-ever net profit for the fourth quarter of FY2025-26 at Rs 14.05 bn, up 13% from Rs 12.46 bn in Q4 last year.

Its revenue from operations rose 19% to Rs 141.60 bn during the quarter under review.

The company also reported an EBITDA of Rs 20.66 bn for Q4 FY26, up 15% from Rs 17.91 bn for the same period last year. Cash generated during the quarter stood at Rs 32.80 bn.

Bata India Q4 Results

Shares of Bata India came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

Bata India slipped 3.67% to Rs 666.90 after reporting a sharp 95.20% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 0.02 bn in Q4 FY26, compared with Rs 0.46 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations increased 4.99% to Rs 8.28 bn during the quarter, against Rs 7.88 bn in Q4 FY25.

Profit before tax fell 93.88% to Rs 0.04 bn in Q4 FY26 from Rs 0.62 bn a year ago.

The company said the quarter included certain one-time items, including voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) costs of Rs 0.28 bn, as part of its long-term strategy to enhance capability, agility and efficiency across the supply chain.

The board of Bata India has recommended a dividend of Rs 9 per share for FY2025-26, subject to shareholder approval. The total dividend payout for the financial year stands at Rs 1.16 bn.

Bata India is among the country's largest footwear retailers and manufacturers, with operations spanning manufacturing and trading of footwear and accessories through retail and wholesale networks. Its portfolio includes leather, rubber/canvas and plastic footwear products.

GMR Airports Q4 FY26 Results

Shares of GMR Airports came into focus after the company reported its Q4 FY26 results.

GMR Airports reported a net profit of Rs 4.00 bn in Q4 FY26, compared with a loss of Rs 2.53 bn in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company also posted a profit of Rs 4.72 bn for FY26, marking its first full-year profitability in more than a decade.

Total income for the financial year rose to Rs 152.01 bn from Rs 108.36 bn in the previous fiscal.

GMR Airports-operated airports handled 31.7 million passengers during the March quarter and a record 121.6 million passengers in FY26. Delhi airport alone handled 21.2 million passengers in Q4 and 78.7 million passengers during the full fiscal year.

International travellers accounted for 24% of the total passenger traffic handled by GAL-operated Indian airports in both the March quarter and FY26.
