Vodafone Idea, Meta Launch Silent Verification
Vodafone Idea (Vi) and Meta have partnered to introduce Silent Mobile Verification (SMV) for Vi users across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
The new network-based authentication solution enables seamless user verification during registration, login, account recovery, mobile number validation, and security checks without requiring one-time passwords (OTPs).
When Vi customers access Meta's platforms using the Vi mobile network, verification is completed through the network itself. This simplifies the authentication process, reduces manual steps, speeds up onboarding, and strengthens protection against phishing attacks and digital identity fraud.
