Stocks finished higher across the board Monday, as cooling oil prices and bond yields jump-started the broader market rebound. The S&P 500 added 114 points for its best single-session pop since Aug. 4. The Nasdaq Composite also logged its best one-day gain since Aug. 4, as well as its first record close since June. The Dow gained 366 points of its own.

AI-related stocks helped fuel the rally, with memory chip supplier Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) pushing its market cap above $1 trillion.

Middle East tensions remained in focus, after Iran-backed Houthis said they attacked Saudi Arabia with missiles and drones over the weekend, though President Donald Trump said diplomacy with Iran remained possible at the United Nations' General Assembly this week.

Oil Retreats Back Below $100

Oil prices took a hit Monday -- their fourth-straight session in the red -- after President Trump left the door open to diplomacy with Iran. West Texas Intermediate crude fell 4.5% to settle at $95.78 per barrel.

Gold prices also moved lower, with December-dated futures slipping 0.9% to settle at $4,345.80 as the U.S. dollar pulled back.
