1 – The FTSE fell slightly during the session on Friday, but we believe that the 6700 level continues to offer support. With that, we are on the sidelines and waiting for some type of supportive candle in order to start going long. Once we get that, we would not hesitate at all to buy calls. We also believe that a break above the 6800 level is a call buying opportunity as well.
2 – The S&P 500 (SPY) fell slightly during the session on Friday also, but we think that there is plenty of support below at the 2040 handle. That area should produce call buying opportunities and with the market being in an uptrend, we fully anticipate seeing that. We have no interest in buying puts, because the momentum has been so strong to the upside.
3 – The EUR/USD pair tested the 1.05 level given during the session on Friday, and as we had seen a couple of days before, the area offered support. However, we think that short-term rallies offer put buying opportunities, and that this market will eventually break down below the 1.05 level to reach the parity handle given enough time. Obviously, that is a long-term call, but we have absolutely no scenario in which we are interested in buying calls.
4 – The WTI Crude Oil market fell to the $45 handle during the session on Friday, and it now looks like we may actually break down below the $44 level. If we do that, this market will head to $40 before it’s all said and done. However, we prefer to wait until we get a daily close below the $44 level to go ahead and put money to work.
