Major Changes to Berkshire Hathaway’s Portfolio During the First Quarter of 2023

Berkshire Hathaway released its SEC Form 13F for the first quarter of 2023 after the market closed today.  The major changes were as follows:

New Position

(1) Capital One Financial (COF)    + $1 billion

Added to Current Position

(1) Occidental Petroleum (OXY)   + $1 billion

Reduced Positions

(1) Chevron (CVX)   – $6 billion

(2) General Motors (GM) – $400 million

(3) McKesson (MCK)  – $200 million

Eliminated Positions

(1) Bank of New York Mellon (BK)  – $1 billion

(2) Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) – $700 million

(2) RH (RH)  – $600 million

(3) U.S. Bancorp (USB) – $200 million
