Lucid Appoints New Executive Leaders Across Commercial, Finance, and Marketing

Electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Group has officially appointed three senior executives to bolster its operational execution, financial discipline, and customer engagement strategies. The leadership additions bring Shawn Mirabal as President of North America Commercial, Mike Molino as Vice President of Finance, and Angela Zepeda as Vice President of Global Marketing. Adding established electric vehicle executive leadership comes as Lucid accelerates commercial momentum, expands its retail footprint, and aligns its manufacturing capacity with long-term growth targets.

The executive appointments directly align with Lucid’s overarching strategic priorities: optimizing cost structures, enhancing product quality, and building an integrated customer journey. By tapping industry veterans with decades of experience across automotive manufacturing, retail operations, enterprise finance, and brand building, Lucid reinforces the organizational foundation required to support its scaling operations across North America and global markets.

Strengthening Commercial Execution and Retail Strategy

Shawn Mirabal joins Lucid as President of North America Commercial, bringing more than 27 years of automotive retail and manufacturing experience. His executive background includes senior leadership roles at major OEM networks, including Nissan North America, FCA/Stellantis, American Honda, Berkshire Hathaway Automotive Group, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer of #1 Cochran Automotive Group.

In his new role, Mirabal will oversee North American sales execution, fleet operations, and dealer-partner alignment. His extensive history in streamlining frontline retail operations and aligning factory output with dealership demand will prove instrumental as Lucid works to improve delivery logistics and enhance direct-to-consumer delivery networks. Mirabal will report directly to Billy Hayes, Chief Customer Officer.

Enhancing Financial Discipline and Capital Allocation

To reinforce its financial governance, Lucid has named Mike Molino as Vice President of Finance. Molino brings over two decades of financial leadership in the automotive sector, having most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America.

Reporting to Chief Financial Officer Alexander De Bock, Molino will focus on embedding operational accountability across departments, improving transparency, and connecting financial performance directly with manufacturing execution. As the electric vehicle market navigates evolving capital demands and margin pressures, Molino’s focus on cost efficiency and capital discipline will support Lucid's path toward long-term profitability.

Elevating Global Brand Engagement and Marketing Strategy

Angela Zepeda steps into the role of Vice President of Global Marketing, bringing more than 25 years of experience leading high-profile consumer and technology brands. She most recently served as Global Head of Marketing at xAI following a five-year tenure as Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor America, where she spearheaded major brand transformations and omni-channel campaigns.

Also reporting to Chief Customer Officer Billy Hayes, Zepeda will lead global brand strategy, integrated marketing, and customer acquisition initiatives. Her primary focus centers on unifying product messaging across digital, social, and experiential channels to elevate global brand awareness and build deeper engagement throughout the EV buyer journey.

Operational Alignment and Executive Vision

Lucid Chief Executive Officer Silvio Napoli noted that the new appointments reinforce the core pillars of the business: balancing cash and cost, raising customer service standards, and fostering strong internal team culture.

By unifying commercial execution, financial oversight, and marketing operations under seasoned leadership, Lucid positions itself to deliver consistent operational results, streamline vehicle deliveries, and expand its market share across the competitive electric vehicle landscape.
