Although many Americans were brought up with the perspective that cannabis is a gateway drug, for many others, both in the US and all around the globe, cannabis is a much needed medication that should be fully legitimized as such. As with any drug, it should be used with care and regulation, but legalizing cannabis across the US could help to bring in those regulations that would make the use of it even safer.
Thankfully for many Americans who see this as their best option for chronic pain, cannabis is gaining traction in becoming legal on a national spectrum. In fact, the legal cannabis industry is seeing so much growth that it created 321,000 full time jobs in 2021, and that number is set to reach 600,000 in the next three years.
Already, cannabis related positions have surpassed employment in the fields of nurse practitioners, web developers, EMTs and more. Not only is cannabis an important drug for those with chronic pain, but it is quickly becoming a profitable field for a goal driven workforce.
