Kinective Launches AI-Powered Intelligent Document Workflow

Kinective has launched an intelligent Document Workflow solution designed to help banks and credit unions automate document preparation for eSignature transactions. The new capability uses AI to identify document structures and automatically place required fields, helping financial institutions streamline digital document workflow processes.

Kinective Automates Document Preparation

Kinective introduced AI-powered document setup for Kinective Sign and SignPlus, its eSignature solutions built specifically for financial institutions.

Traditionally, employees must manually prepare documents before sending them for signatures. This process involves placing names, signatures, dates, checkboxes, and other fields on each document. Staff may also need to repeat the work whenever a document changes.

Kinective’s Automated Document Set-Up uses AI to read a document, understand its structure and content, and automatically identify where different fields belong. The technology can place signature fields, party roles, checkboxes, and index values without requiring users to position each element manually.

According to Kinective, forms that previously required staff to spend as much as 15 minutes preparing can now be configured in seconds. When an existing document changes, the AI can detect differences and propose updates, reducing document creation and annual maintenance time by more than 50%.

AI Reduces Manual eSignature Work

Manual document preparation can create repetitive work for bank and credit union employees. It can also introduce errors when fields are misplaced or omitted.

Kinective’s automated approach is designed to reduce these challenges by handling the initial document setup through AI. Employees can then review the generated configuration before using the document in a transaction.

This workflow allows financial institutions to spend less time preparing individual signing sessions while maintaining human oversight of the final document setup.

Kinective CEO Stephen Baker said the company is using AI to address repetitive tasks within its intelligent banking platform and reduce the time required to prepare eSignature transactions.

Redesigned Template Manager Simplifies Administration

Alongside Automated Document Set-Up, Kinective has redesigned its Template Manager to provide a more streamlined administrative experience.

Template Manager allows financial institution employees to create and maintain master document templates used for signing transactions. The redesigned interface guides administrators through the process in a single workflow.

The process covers document uploading, defining parties and fields, and completing a final review before the template is used.

By combining automated document preparation with a redesigned template management experience, Kinective aims to simplify the process of launching and maintaining reusable document workflows.

Supporting End-to-End Document Workflows

Kinective positions its Document Workflow capabilities as more than an eSignature tool. Its platform connects document generation, execution, and archiving as part of broader financial institution workflows.

The company's SignPlus platform adds workflow automation to eSignature processes and connects front-office and back-office activities. It supports document setup, signing, review, core updates, and archival within connected workflows.

This approach can help financial institutions manage document-based transactions across different stages rather than treating electronic signatures as an isolated activity.

Business Intelligence Adds Visibility

The new intelligent document capabilities also build on other features Kinective has introduced for Sign and SignPlus customers.

The Kinective Sign Business Intelligence dashboard provides visibility into signing activity across an organization. It can show session statuses, signing patterns, channel usage, and other workflow information.

This visibility can help institutions identify stalled transactions and understand how document signing activity moves across their operations.

Kinective also offers SignPlus Gateway, which can move approved signed webform information into a financial institution's core system. This reduces the need for employees to manually re-enter information between systems.

Designed for Banks and Credit Unions

Kinective develops technology specifically for financial institutions, with its platform covering areas such as document workflow, data intelligence, branch automation, digital connectivity, and fraud and risk management.

The company says more than 4,300 financial institutions use its technology, representing nearly one in every two financial institutions in the United States.

Its Document Workflow offering is designed to work within the operational environments of banks and credit unions, helping institutions connect document processes with other systems and workflows.

AI Moves Document Workflows Beyond eSignatures

The launch reflects a broader shift toward using AI to automate administrative work within financial services.

Electronic signatures have already reduced the need for paper-based signing. However, preparing documents, configuring templates, managing fields, and maintaining updated versions can still require significant employee involvement.

Kinective's latest capabilities target these activities by applying AI to document preparation and workflow management.

Instead of manually identifying each field, employees can use AI-generated document configurations and then review the results before publishing a template. Kinective's current product information emphasizes that users remain involved in reviewing automated setup before a document is finalized.

Streamlining Financial Institution Operations

For banks and credit unions, document processing is part of many customer and account-related activities. Faster preparation can help employees move transactions through signing and approval stages more efficiently.

Kinective's combination of AI-powered setup, template management, workflow automation, business intelligence, and core connectivity creates a broader framework for managing document-based processes.

The company says its intelligent banking platform is designed to connect with an institution's core and other systems that interact with account holders and members.

By automating repetitive document tasks, Kinective aims to give employees more time for activities that require customer interaction, decision-making, and other higher-value work.

Kinective Expands Intelligent Banking Capabilities

The launch of Intelligent Document Workflow adds another AI-driven capability to Kinective's banking technology portfolio.

Automated Document Set-Up addresses the preparation stage, while the redesigned Template Manager helps administrators manage reusable templates. Other Sign and SignPlus capabilities extend the workflow through signing, reporting, core connectivity, and document archiving.

Together, these technologies are designed to help financial institutions reduce manual document processing and create more connected digital transactions.

As banks and credit unions continue adopting automation, AI-powered document workflows could become an increasingly important part of modernizing operational processes while maintaining review and control over customer-facing transactions.
