Ruto made it clear recently that he makes these generous contributions to churches in line with the good book's teachings which urges believers to store their treasures in heaven and not on earth where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves could break in and steal.
In a video seen by TUKO.co.ke, the DP despite being accused of using church fundraisers to sanctify wealth he allegedly acquired through corruption went ahead to donate KSh 8 million cash to Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) All Saints Cathedral on Sunday, July 8.
The money was neither wired electronically to the church's bank account nor deposited through a cheque but delivered in cash wrapped in a cheap biodegradable cotton bag to the awe of many who have never seen KSh 1 million cash with their bare eyes.
Ruto who presided over a funds drive event at one of the oldest churches in Kenya established 101 years ago, collected tens and hundreds of thousands from different members of the congregation until he finally blew out KSh 8 million.
"There is KSh 8 million here and I will give an additional KSh 2 million," said Ruto as he handed over the green coloured cotton bag to a broadly smiling Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit.
The congregants applauded the DP as cash collectors struggled to squeeze the bulk cash in one of the woven bags where contributions were being dropped.
Ruto is not new to harambees and has hit headlines numerous times for contributing tens of millions in a single weekend during his numerous tours across the country.
Saturday, October 1, and Sunday, October, 2 2017, the deputy president was reported to have dished out a whooping KSh 18 million to two schools in Kisii and churches in Bungoma counties.
The same year, Ruto donated KSh 3 million to Ibeno Kenya Medical Training College in Kisii, at Malinda Secondary School in Vihiga county he donated KSh 4 million and KSh 3 million at St Peter’s Machine Secondary School in Likuyani, Kakamega county.
Ruto also gave out KSh 3 million for the construction of a dining hall and donated another KSh 2 million and pledged a similar amount to Tongaren Mixed Secondary School in Bungoma county.

On Friday, March 30, the DP donated KSh 3 million to Evergreen Presbyterian Church of East Africa, Nairobi.
During the Sunday, July 8, funds drive, his close political friend Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen seemingly learning from his master note by note contributed KSh 200, 000.
Ruto's extreme generosity has attracted scorn from the opposition camp and even his political circles with leaders questioning his integrity in acquiring the resources he freely dishes out.
Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter recently observed it was impossible even for the great billionaire and philanthropist Mannu Chandaria to give out tens of millions every weekend without getting broke.
The DP on several occasions hit back saying it is not known where those who question his contributions give offerings or tithe, insinuating they could be channeling their givings to witchcraft shrines.
